In 1877, a young English woman - Mary Potter - founded a religious order she ca lled the Little Company of Mary..Since that date, the Sisters of the LittleCompany of Mary in the United Kingdom have continued to serve the needs of the poor, the sick and the dying in the tradition of their founder.
Nottingham was the cradle of the congregation in 1877. Today, sisters of the Little Company of Mary are united by a Global Leadership Team and are to be found in the following countries: America - Australia - Ireland - Italy - Korea - New Zealand/Tonga - Southern Africa
Associates and Affiliates of the Little Company of Mary are important members of our communities, and wherever the sisters of the Little Company of Mary are to be found, there too, you will find Associate and Affliliate members who support the mission and the ministries of the LCM community.
